Viral TikTok food creator Jessica Woo filled her children’s school lunch box with everything from Alfredo shrimp pasta to sushi, to something shaped like a children’s game "Among Us" Character pancakes-and there are always handwritten notes of love and encouragement. In most cases, the Internet responds to Woo's videos with its own love letters in the comment section, such as "You are such an amazing mom" and "This looks like a bomb" (via TikTok). However, unfortunately, some hate emails may also be mixed. For example, when Woo shared the Wagyu steak with quail eggs she made for her daughter’s birthday (seen on the website), a commenter retorted: “Who has the time? People with excellent grades.”

Woo has also been criticized for the nutritional value of its packaging-a very complex slice of cucumber with some fruits and rice in this article generated such a comment, "Maybe if you don’t spend so much time making lunch beautifully , You can provide them with a well-balanced and full lunch."

Why are you angry? In an exclusive interview with Mashed, Woo put forward a theory: angry people think she has too much time to show off-a single mother of three said this is far from the truth. "Last year, in 2020, when I first grew up, many mothers said,'She must be a full-time mother, she must be a trophy mother. She does nothing,'" Wu said. "Even what I packed-it's too small and too much food. There are a lot of opinions!" Woo added that this is part of becoming a popular content creator. "I think it's just about territory," she said. "I think once people... stay and watch my videos and get to know me and my family-they know, she is not a rich person who eats lunch all day just for content."

Some of the comments that Jessica Woo received on TikTok are really annoying. "I won't even feed it to my dog," one person said in response to Woo's video of garlic fried rice. However, will such harsh words crush her spirit? No. Instead, it made her laugh a few times. "When I read these things, I find them very interesting," she said. "Because sometimes it's too weird, I think, I don't know who these people think I am!"

Woo said that those who criticize the nutritional content of her children’s lunch need to realize that she is just a mother who shares her creativity and does not provide health advice on what parents should pack for school lunches. "I'm not trying to say,'Oh, this is something everyone needs to do. This is the perfect part or the healthiest meal.' Impossible! I am definitely not a nutritionist," Woo said. "I'm not encouraging people to let their children eat only vegetables or [become] vegans or anything else. I'm just here to show you what I do and what I like to do for my family." She added, other Parents don’t need to spend as much time on lunch as she does to make their children feel special. "The kids really like everything you do, even if they are small," Woo said. "So, obviously, you don't have to go beyond yourself or do anything crazy. You don't have to spend hours on lunch."
