WHAT IS AMAZON PRIME DAY AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Not sure what Amazon Prime Day is? Well, it was first held as a 24 hour sales event in 2015 to mark Amazon’s 20th year anniversary.

It made its way to Australia in 2018 and it’s now a multi-day sales event offering mega savings on everything from beauty to electronics.

According to Amazon, Prime Day is “an annual deal event exclusively for Prime members, delivering two days of special savings on tons of items”.

The Amazon Prime Day sales are well worth participating in, but to do so, you’ll need an Amazon Prime membership.

It costs $6.99 per month, but you get a 30-day free trial when you first sign up.

As a Prime member you don’t just get access to the Prime Day sale — there’s also free two-day domestic delivery, free standard international delivery on eligible orders over $49, and access to Amazon Music, Prime Reading and Twitch Prime.

Prime members also get access to exclusive deals and shopping events as well as early access to lightning deals.
